Similar to "Uni Job - 2013-03-18" I didn't see this post about the bad things at AUFE until after I had accepted a contract and began work here.

I am now into my second year and I will be staying another year at least. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here and I gave to disagree with almost everything in the OP's post.

There have been a few problems but nothing that didn't get fixed when we contacted our foreign affairs officer. The apartments are fine, yes there are 2 signs in our living room - I just covered them with a poster. I have never had unasked visits by the landlady or her husband, and despite them having no English, I am always able to get help when I need it e.g. if something breaks or is not working.

The college is on 2 campuses and you can teach on either, both are OK and facilities are good (although the computers sometimes don't work). The Chinese teachers are always willing to help the FT's.

Bengbu may not be a fantastic city but it's big enough for good shopping and some entertainment. The great thing is that the G train station is close to
living site and it's so easy to get to there cites- Beijing, Nanjing, Hangzhou, Shanghai etc. There is some pollution, but we also have clear blue skies, maybe a little snow in winter and warm - hot summers.

I don't need to say anything else, I think my time here says it all - and I'm enjoying it. I'm happy to talk to anyone who wants more info about this school
