Beware: These people call themselves AIEP and work out of an office on the Beijing University of Foreign Studies HOTEL. They have nothing to do with the respectable AIEP (much like the disney school in shanghai I suppose has nothing to do with the film industry giant) and nothing to do with Beijing University other than they rent an office in the campus hotel.

I came to Beijing for training in a `new Australian curriculum` before going to teach at a college in Jiangsu. When I got here I found the `teacher` was the boss who claimed to have considerable contacts in Australia but in fact could speak a word of English, nor is he a teacher. The new curriculum were a couple of old unwieldy efl books which he tried to claimed would cover an entire year`s curriculum. When I pointed out this would not be the case for a twenty hour week he simply took to insulting us constantly and told us we had to learn to do things `the Chinese way`.

In my interviews from Nanjing I had asked all the questions suggested by Gregory Mavrides in the teachers forum which unless you have the person in front of you strapped up to a lie detector.....

The `college` was not in Jiangsu but in the middle of nowhere north of Beijing at half the salary I had been offered. One of the teachers with me had flown from Glasgow on these shysters promises. As you can imagine I am not taking up the position. BE WARNED
