DO NOT WORK FOR THIS SCHOOL!!!

I have worked with many schools all over the world and I will say confidently that Omni English in Narita, Japan is by far the worst school I have ever worked for! I will do my best to list the problems this company has.

1. They will incorrectly manage your work visa, forcing you to leave the country with fear of deportation. Therefore, getting three months of free labor from you. This has happened to many former teachers there. They pay for an apartment, work for almost three months, then the school will tell you that you didn't complete the visa properly and fire you. Imagine how scary that can be for people who move to a foreign country.

2. Pay is very inconsistent, incorrect, and only in cash. No banks, no check stub, and no papertrail. You're always paid way less than promised and if you complain, the owner will just threaten to fire you.

3. The owner is verbally abusive and will humiliate you in front of your peers and students parents. I cannot stress enough that the owner has zero respect for her foriegn teachers.

4. There is no structure and no training. You're thrown to the wolves and when you do something wrong, you're yelled at and made to feel incompetent. Like I said, zero training but you're suppose to know everything without being taught.

5. You pay all travle to and from schools. No help from Omni and you have to use your own resources to travle up to 1 1/2 hour commute sometimes.

6. The owner will fire and rehire you almost daily. This entirely depends on her mood.

7. If you actually try to quit, the school will threaten to sue you and they will refuse to give you back any documents that you gave for vise, exp: bachelor's degree. So never give them any original document's, because you'll never get them back.

8. There's no curriculum, no school philosophy, no plan... it's make it up as you go. You also buy all of the school material to use. The school rarely provides anything.

I cannot express enough how bad this school is and has been over the past few years. If you ever think of working there, please consider somewhere else. This job has been so stressfull and such a negative experience that I have gotten health problems, due to the daily stress and trauma.
