I loved my experience at Xuchang University. Many friends were worried I was going to such a poor out-of-the-way city, but I couldn't have been happier there. It is beautiful! Trees and flowers are everywhere. It is very clean. The downside for many foreigners is that there are not a lot of foreign businesses there. However, the local Chinese people are kind and wonderful. I would ride my bike around the city without worrying about traffic or safety. The local food is delicious! The university was a great home for me and my daughter, and I highly recommend it to any foreigners thinking of going there.
