An atmosphere absolutely abominable where reign incompetence, contempt, blackmail, put to the gap, lack of respect, hypocrisy, permanent and cheap shots.
The reality goes beyond fiction to Yancheng, moreover, nobody remains in position and this since the opening of the Department of French, strange... Here is a short summary of the situation:
Students comatose, lazy and ignorant (absolutely no interest for the French, our country and its culture), a very low level, and if little respect! A figure that summarizes all: 85% of failure in TFS4 in May 2016!
All the notes of the French teachers are modified and bidouillées by the head of department to ensure a good score to all students. Here, the customer is king: everyone gets its review! To make it short: a sham of training and examinations where the French teachers are treated like puppets without any consideration.
Demotivation and discouragement are at the rendez-vous to YTU (the city is not very glamourous not more)!
In 2017, two professors on three left the Department of French at the end of 6 months only! Why?
Physical threats on the part of the head of department and exclusion of the prof in front of the students in full-course! Omerta of international service and the Dean of the service of foreign languages. Transport premium paid with 4 months of delay, etc...
Small University isolated and without any interest ... to flee imperatively!

I am French teacher in China and i am writing this message in French to attract the attention to French lecturers.
Attention, ne vous fiez pas au verni très pro de l’annonce parue sur le site de l‘Ambassade de France ni aux premiers échanges rassurants que vous auriez éventuellement eu! Ce (pseudo) département de Français est à éviter absolument ! Une perte de temps et d’argent ! Une ambiance absolument exécrable où règne incompétence, mépris, chantage, mise à l'écart, manque de respect, hypocrisie permanente et coups bas.
La réalité dépasse la fiction à Yancheng, d'ailleurs, personne ne reste en poste et ce depuis l'ouverture du département de Français, étrange... Voici un court résumé de la situation:
Des élèves comateux, paresseux et ignares (absolument aucun intérêt pour le Français, notre pays et sa culture), d'un niveau très faible, et si peu respectueux ! Un chiffre qui résume tout: 85% d’échec au TFS4 en mai 2016 !
Toutes les notes des profs Français sont modifiées et bidouillées par le responsable de département pour garantir un bon score à tous les étudiants. Ici, le client est roi: tout le monde obtient son examen ! Pour faire court: un simulacre de formation et d’examens où les profs Français sont traités comme des pantins sans aucune considération.
