Re LinguaTutor - Teach English in China, Shanghai

They prefer newby (ignorant), non-native English Europeans who they can pass off as American. All incentives are based on fines for all kinds of reasons so expect your salary to be cut into each month.

That rings true. They are training students to be understood by Poles and the like. And the poor students are told that their teachers are American. The American accent seems easier to forge or something. I have heard actually of students telling their Brit teachers that they couldn't understand their accents because their normal teachers are American. Or so they think!! More likely Russian.

Re LinguaTutor - Teach English in China, Shanghai

My Chinese wife works for them (for now) she says they run things with an iron fist. They prefer newby (ignorant), non-native English Europeans who they can pass off as American. All incentives are based on fines for all kinds of reasons so expect your salary to be cut into each month.

They lie to teachers and lie to clients and let them fight it out between themselves.

They are a typical middleman company, best to avoid...

If you think I'm just being negative, show them your interest, If they'll say they might already have a job for you... they don't...

Has anyone worked for them and would like to share their experience?

I see they advertise heavily and was wondering what is it like working for them full-time (management, etc.)?
