This was my experience at Guangdong Country Garden School, Foshan, Shunde bgy.
There are other branches of Country Garden School, but this is my experience at CGS in bgy as they call it.
In a nutshell it pretty much sucked.

Teachers are forced to attend evening meetings either on a Thursday or Friday evening from 6:30 p.m.-9:00 p.m.

Enthusiastic teachers who want to contribute positively are shut down and even threatened. A simple initiative to create a handbook for new incoming teachers to help with the a challenging transition, because of language, location and a fishbowl type community, was shut down repeatedly over the years. The foreign affairs liaison is only there as a figurehead and he will not help with anything but will lie and say he is working on it.

School principals and leaders are constantly sent on trips to other schools around the world to proper IB schools, which then sends the school into panic mode as soon as they get back, as they try to recreate what they saw in a normal school setting without having a clue of the concepts behind them. They don't seem to be willing to do what is needed to provide the structure and support to make real changes. It is actually a joke to see them return from trips and then send the entire school into a frenzy of "change" until the next trip comes along, and everything changes again in the opposite direction.

The clowns have hired many experienced, dedicated educators, but as soon as they become employees they disregard them and refuse their input and advice most leave within a year if they are not fired first.

Grades are falsified to please parents who are the paying customers, and to protect local teachers from pay deductions/loss of bonuses or instant demotion and termination without pay. The entire system is conducive to unethical practices because pay deductions and public shaming ''loss of face'' at the sadistic evening meetings. There is also evidence of the lies Elvia (head of fao and teachers contracts) has fed to teachers for years. FAO has screwed hundreds of employees for many, many years with unscrupulous tactics and techniques. Teachers continue to be fined entire paychecks for missing 3-4 days of work for a family emergency. This place is a perfect case study of the effects of a school under a communist dictatorship.

Its amazing they have been able to fool the IBO for this long.
