Former FT in China - 2016-11-06

Crap is crap, and it has to be named like that. Regarding EF, only those not asking the system question and who fail to demonstrate enough analytic capability will say that some EF are good and others are bad. It's mostly those who depend on an EF job because they have nothing to offer in terms of qualifications for a decent teacher job and who in fact are deechers.

Here, an old rule applies as again:

Tell me where you work, and I will tell you what kind of person you are!

No point in comparing fifty different pieces of crap, like some people on here have done by asking if one EF is better
than another.

I don't know to what extent parents of EF learners are treated like gods by EF management in countries other than China.

What I do know is that in China, language mill bosses pander to the wishes of parents of young learners above all else. This means their FTs do not have secure teaching positions. Hence the high turnover rates. Definiyely avoid working for Chinese language mills, like EF.

Crap is not absolute, eg very crap/rather crap/slightly crap. Better to be in a slightly crap job than to be out of work imo! It's possible that language mills in some EFL countries except China have FT positions that are only slightly crap! Herr Doktor, do you agree?
