Firstly, to avoid confusion, this is a review for the Yuwapat Kindergarten School, which is on a separate campus from Yuwapat Elementary School. As I only worked at the kindergarten, that is the campus I will be offering a review for. Yuwapat Kindergarten is located in Nakhonsawan, Thailand. The city is large but very unpopulated by tourists so teachers get more immersion into speaking Thai and learning about the culture. It is only three hours outside of Bangkok so exploring the rest of Thailand during vacations is not difficult. Overall it is a very enjoyable city and has a large group of foreign teachers, most of which are happy to assist new teachers.

I worked at Yuwapat Kindergarten for 1 year and a half. With a year long contract that I extended 6 months due to my love of the school. All of the management at the school, both Thai and foreign, were excellent. The English department management during my time consisted of Keith Burridge and Margaret Mwangi, both of whom I hold in very high regard. Any concerns I had or training I needed was met with professionalism and detail. On the personal side, the management also showed warmth and kindness that went beyond their duties. Their treatment of the children and fellow staff was always exceptional. Having worked in several institutes for children, I would count Yuwapat Kindergarten as one of the best. Many teachers have decided to stay their long term and so the office has a good mixture of seasoned and new teachers. The English program for the children is detailed in a efficient curriculum and teachers are always encouraged to share ideas of making it stronger.

Even with issues unrelated to the school, the management was always helpful, from assisting with living arrangements to renting motorbikes and much more. They were helpful with finding things in the city and anything else the new teachers needed. The office provided a very comfortable and close knit group that I will miss very much.
