I have also had a VERY nrgstive experience with VIPKID. This was through the recruitment process. I had my first interview online with a girl whose second language was English and very difficult to understand. However, I proceeded on with the mock lesson using the material they provide. It went fine, although I did go over ontime just a bit. I am a very experienced teacher and I am a really good one on one tutor. Afterward, she went on about the time, which can easily be rectified and then something about how I phonetically pronounced the letter "I". Wrong!!! I KNOW how to phonetically pronounce the alphabet. I was teaching children phonics and phonemic awareness when she was playing with Barbie dolls. Needless to say, I did NOT get the job. HERE'S THE RUB. They emailed all applicants about offering "second chance Interviews", Great, I did exactly what my recruiter told me to do andreapplied. I could be an asset for them, I know this.

I re applied and rescheduled my interview and the website chancelled my second interview!!! This leads to only conclusion and it is a NO BRAINER. Apparantly, I am either too old or just cute enough!! I am not the only person who had this experience, where their is actually better than the examples they send you to view for practice. Mine was just as good, if not better. I do indeed have the skillset and energy they require, so they must not like my looks or age. Hiring Discrimination is WRONG and MEAN, Vipkid!!!
