Be aware. Yuncheng EV are at it again.
They appear to have joined forces with a joint American / Chinese agency calling themselves Element International Education Group.
They have placed an advert on Daves yesterday

When I applied, I received a reply within minutes. Further pressing them for information I received a contract from 'Yuncheng School' with the same sketchy conditions as kenny and thetruth mentioned.
They are obviously trying to hide their real identity through a front agency.
Be careful with anything in Shanxi, particularly Yuncheng.

And I WILL add that a little more than two decades ago, the monthly salary of a college/university foreign teacher in Shanxi was approx 1,200 RMB, at a time when SAFEA contracts for Shanxi Province fixed the travel allowance at 1,100 RMB/semester. Of course, in those days the cost of living was way lower than it is now.
That's why present day FTs' salaries are around 6,500 RMB/month at state colleges/universities. Why hasn't the travel allowance been increased accordingly? It should be around 6,000 RMB a semester. What's SAFEA playing at? Or do they think we're all too dumb to pick up on this? Maybe they're dumb enough themselves to think so!

AVOID ANYTHING TO DO WITH YUNCHENG ENGLISH VILLAGE!!
I should add there is a private school that is in the same area offering a much better deal that is not connected to them, sadly by the time I got to deal with them they had filled their positions.

Avoid working in this part of China. Work anywhere else.
Note the multiple misspellings, punctuation, and grammar errors. 10 years acting as a recruiter agent for unsuspecting teachers to Yuncheng, Shanxi, and Helen *still* cannot have their ads proof-read.
There are dozens of issues with this agent, but in the ad below note "Paid winter and summer vacation." is a lie - they offer only 1000 rmb for travel money, do not pay salary for the winter holiday or July and August. You will be paid only 8 or 8.5 months of the year.
Work anywhere else in China except for ENFLY, who are actually worse than Yuncheng EV.
