Had all that in china before, many times, and if you think the school apartment is anything great, go and see how the Chinese teachers off campus apartments are, you are living in spartan conditions compared to them. I never earned 4,000 a month in china, the minimum I earned was 5,500 rmb with everything thrown in. There are certainly jobs that pay higher though.
