Yes, this is no joking matter. I don't think it's funny. Even with that benjamin blokes combined income it's only what, 1,000 euros, or 1,000 uk pounds a month.....it's not even that much in China anymore. I was hearing a good few months back, a couple of foreigners in HK discussing an elderly guy they knew in China, he had reached 60 and couldn't teach anymore and had nothing but his chinese wife and no pension or whatever in the UK....it sounded very bleak indeed. I suppose if you are going to teach the moral of the story is teach in South Korea or the gulf arab states or go home?
