Dear TEFL people, please read and digest what I have to say regarding the dismal company that is ADVETI, (Abu Dhabi Vocational Educational Training Institute). Never in all my years of ESL teaching have I worked for a company as dishonest, two faced, uncaring and totally unprofessional as ADVETI! You will receive no support what so ever, you will be lied to, blamed for every little infraction or problem that comes your way, threatened with your job, lied about, mislead and back stabbed. Added to this, I am sorry to say that I have very little, if anything positive to say about Emirati people, either. The entire culture seems to be built on lies and back scratching! They have no respect or care for anyone or thing, other than themselves! This is not just in the work place or classroom, but on the roads, in the malls, cafes, parks, even walking down the street, (That is when it is cool enough to venture outside!) You can not trust or believe a single word you are told! And as for the level of entitlement and arrogance these people have, it is of legendary proportions! As I said previously, they have no respect for anything or anyone, but seem to expect the utmost respect from others! They have no idea how to manage a college or business and seem to think that dishonesty and corruption is a given in the workplace and in life in general!

If you are offered employment with ADVETI you will be promised the world, IT support, housing, relocation, visas, everything you would need to start a new life in a new country. In actuality you will have to fight tooth and nail for every last thing mentioned in your contract! Do not accept anything unless it is written down on official ADVETI stationary! Even then they will shrug their shoulders and say, 'Inshallah'! If you dare to complain or show your frustration you can expect to be held to account for it and handed an official warning or the sack!

For the sake of your soul, do not accept any form of employment with ADVETI UAE! You will regret it!!!!!
