I have often found consulate staff to be unfriendly, unhelpful and arrogant. The useless fat cats in such jobs can't justify their often obscene salaries.

Yes, that was my impression of the Shanghai brit consulate. oh, you are a teacher, by the way we can't help you out, just so you know.....disgraceful their attitudes.....
