Clong ? Are you serious man? The name Clong is enough of a laughable red flag. Clong haaaaaaaaa
Yes. I would add these training centres are a problem everywhere as they follow the same crappy business model. There is, however, a gradual difference for example between China and Western countries with a rule of law: You can sue them in Western countries in case they fail to pay you in full or in time; in China with her high rate of corruption, it is an almost impossible job to accomplish.
I agree training centers are usually pretty poor jobs in China
a month or not, I still agreed to work there and booked the flights etc. Not worth losing so much money.

You did a disservice to yourself and all other future foreign teachers who will work there. You allowed to be used and mistreated and it sounds like you did nothing. It is not your full-time job, you could've walked away at any point. There are many other schools where you could've worked during the summer.
That's the typical way of FT treatment by training centre owners and their lackeys. They don't value their staff and treat them like shit. And it also tells a lot about themselves when they expect you to live in filthy apartments; the filth in there is the filth that they are themselves. You shouldn't lower yourself to such a level by working for these incompetent clowns.
The AC was leaking and didn’t work and we saw rat droppings. We asked if they could clean it and they said no. We could not stay there so they said we could stay in a hotel, but on leaving they charged us for it. The management were very rude and unhelpful. They knew we were just working for the summer so really didn’t treat us very well. We felt like they just wanted to get their moneys worth from us.
Through an agency we worked at clong for a month during our summer vacation from our normal jobs.
Good points –
Friendly Chinese teachers
Small class sizes
Easy books
Bad points –
Filthy apartment
Rude management
No working AC during Summer
It was a very different job to our usual jobs at an international kindergarten. They said we could live in a hotel for the month of staying there but instead tried to put us in an old apartment. It was very dirty. They said only three classes a day, but actually we worked from 8am until 6pm 5 days a week. It was July too and none of the classrooms had working AC too, it was unbearable. They also promised we would be working in Taizhou city, instead we were put in a school miles from the city with nothing to do. We couldn’t wait to leave. It has put us off doing a temporary summer job again.
