I can agree the school is much like all private Chinese schools (putting business before education). However with regards to Joshuah Garduno, he was one of the best managers I've ever worked for! He was very professional, kept the staff on task, was truthful and up front as a mediator between the foreign teachers and Chinese administrators, was more than helpful is asked.. On top of all that he was leading as an example with his own classes. I heard stories about the 2014-2015 staff and you guys sound like the real problem. After all the insubordinate teachers left the school was an awesome place to work.
Joshuah Garduno the pretend manager is a good enough reason to rip the contract up right now. Add his ego and social awareness problems to the rest of the profit hungry administration, lack of resources, and all around pathetic learning environment for the students, you have the perfect storm. Consider the reviews online before signing up for a year of being around these people.
What a terrible, threatening place to work. Keep your head down and don't ask any questions if you choose to work there...Also prepare to fight to get many paychecks on time and don't expect to get half of the things in the contract including: insurance, housing, training, or even income taxes being sent to the government.
I worked there too. I'm in total support of these links. Honestly, I wish more information was online before I signed the contract. Thanks a lot for sharing!
