I attended Alpha & Omega College for an interview.
Rather than teach, all I wanted to do while sitting in reception was give the place a good clean. There was junk everywhere, full bins and nobody present to answer constant phone calls. In another room all I could hear was a woman shouting in Arabic. Needless to say, I didn't accept the job there and have since discovered that most EFL teachers are well aware of the Owner and steer well clear of the place! Shocking that such practices can take place in the UK in a supposedly accredited school.
Thanks for the heads-up! Those of us from Blighty teaching EFL abroad will not apply for employment of any kind to your former college!

I would like to add my agreement with the assessment of Alpha Omega College in Cardiff. I am one of the unpaid teachers and I am disgusted to have been treated this way. Avoid working there at all costs.
This private language college in Cardiff is absolutely terrible. The director Mary M[edited] does not pay her staff. Currently I know of 12 people that are owed. What's worse is that shes still hiring people, and will continue to do so.
The college is being investigated by the British council and other agency.
What is the name of the other agency?
"Alpha and Omega is a small private college situated in the middle of the capital city of Wales, Cardiff. The college was established in 2005 with the consultation of the Welsh Assembly Government, Wales Development Agency (WDA), Cardiff County Council, Venture Wales, Business Eye and International Business Wales (IBW). The students and their studies are very important to the teachers and staff of the college.
We have experienced teachers who are all qualified to teach in their relevant subject. They are very helpful and will assist a student with any problems they might face in their studies or living in Cardiff. We follow a set syllabus which will show improvement in your English or Vocational course through testing, exams and regular progress reports.
Cardiff is a great place to come and study. It has fantastic shopping and a rich culture, and is also one of the cheapest places to live in the U.K but has all the benefits of living in a modern city. We arrange monthly trips to many destinations and a highly interactive monthly cultural class for all our students. We have more than ten years experience in teaching students from around the world and we are happy to help you find accommodation in Wales."

You say the college has not paid at least twelve its staff and is still hiring. I got it.
You also say the college is absolutely terrible. Why do you say that? Details, please!
