I just finished 3 months working at the hell hole that is EF JiaXing. STAY AWAY! The chinese staff are miserable and incompetent,the Fts are backstabbing suck ups and the owner only cares about money. I was promised reimbusement on my viza costs but never saw none of it even though i asked for it every day after i arrived. They said they would help me find an apartment and put me up in the filthiest apartment even by china standards. it had cockroaches everywhere and open plug sockets. the kitchen was so dirty i didn't ever go in it. I had to stay there for 4 weeks until I finally found my own place with the help of another teacher.
But then came the next money worries! The owner (a stuck up bitch called Nancy) wouldn't agree to give me the rent allowance as she said I'd agreed to stay in the schools accomodation! I did not!
I was made to have "training" with a man from Canada who was the so called 'director of studies' but the only thing he was studying was Nancy! He was constantly on my case saying the parents didn't like my classes but they were fine! He was just hounding me because of the money issues I kept raising with his girlfriend. The TAs were shit. They could barely speak english to the point some of the kids corrected some of them.
Eventually I realised I was never going to get my rent allowance or my viza costs back and so I left one night last week and haven't looked back.
WHATEVER YOU DO STAY AWAY FROM EF JIAXING ITS A F'ING JOKE OF A SCHOOL.
