Re www.tefl-tesol-online.com is a SCAM!

"In doing so Kyle entered into an agreement with ITTP by agreeing to our Terms and Conditions (not small print, but compulsory reading as all applicants need to confirm they have read our T+C before submitting their application form."

"In our T and C we do clearly state (as all TEFL schools do) that, in the rare event, we reserve the right to cancel or postpone a course date and transfer students to the next available course date."

"We of course understood Kyle’s perspective with compassion, and explained that he had options; either waiting the (less than) couple of months until the early January course date began, or simply taking the Combined TEFL/TESOL course instead."

I see little compassion from you, to be sincere. Rather, you seem very arrogant and patronizing.

I have not read the contract terms that you refer to, but I have read your refutation of Britto's account. Although you have taken some time to draft an eloquent statement, it lacks so much as far as customer care, and seems to lack honesty also. You carefully refuse to state your company's policy in regard to refunds. Why are you hiding it if you feel so sure of your own position? Your mention of the bank's refusal to support his claim is used to support your position, but we do not even know if your account is truthful. What we do know from your account and his, is that despite a postponement, your company refuses to allow refunds prior to the start of the course, even two months prior and that does not seem fair. Customers in most developed countries of the world would be permitted to get a refund on their tuition or deposit so far before the start date of the course, and so that is the true claim that should be made. He should not focus on the term SCAM, but BUYER BEWARE. Based upon this case, it is evident to anyone coming on and reading yours and his comments that your company does not honor the customer as other companies might. If the deposit is to reserve a place in the school, and the date changes, the students plans might have changed also and a refund of that deposit is now wholly reasonable. This reasonableness is what you seem to be lacking, as it seems replaced by a pseudo-sentimental, patronizing greed.

True, your operation might not be a SCAM based upon what he has said, but nonetheless, its a situation that anyone shopping for TEFL programs would want to know about. I doubt I would commit to your program now, EVEN IF WHAT YOU SAID WAS ALL TRUE, and that is my message to you and your company. You say it is not small print, but based on most peoples experience, that is a misleading statement. Stop being rotten and spoiled and refusing to communicate with people who are angry about such a one sided and deceptive policy. Why don't you try to HELP PEOPLE rather than take from them whatever you can. The international educational market DOES NOT NEED and CANNOT AFFORD more greed artists using small print to deceive vulnerable hopefuls worried about visas and accommodations and other issues, not your small print. Sure you insist upon your particulars, but you're losing business. And we know and understand why, even if what you say is all true!!!! That's the message for you, Mr. Thomas.

www.tefl-tesol-online.com is a SCAM!

I was scammed by ITTP-TEFL-TESOL Prague (http://www.tefl-tesol-online.com) by their manager V P S [edited]. I completed the 100 hour course waited a month for my diploma only for them to tell me after a month of waiting that I now have to pay extra for them to ship me a physical diploma. After I protested and paid them the extra money they asked for they boasted of defacing my certificate and have not sent me anything. THEY ARE NOT EVEN LICENSED TO AWARD TEFL CERTIFICATES by the “College of Teachers” who’s emblem they brandish on the front page of their website. I contacted the College of Teachers and they told me they have an ongoing case of fraud against them. I would also be weary of www.teflonlinereviews.com I am fairly sure they operate that site and use it to bait other teachers because they are the #1 rated site on there and they will not publish my posts of fraud against ITTP TEFL.
