Re Wrong "expertise"
Well, Turnoi and I do not always agree about everything, including on a professional level. As professionals we will have differences of opinion. As far as oral English is concerned, I feel a good oral English teacher can develop skills over time at university level. Experience counts as far as oral English teaching is concerned. As far as teaching grammar is concerned, a degree in linguistics is more desirable. That is my two cents worth on the matter.Tell a Friend
We tend to refer to 'grammar' as grammar that is more complicated than the grammar which you have to teach if you teach 'speaking/oral English' if you teach that level of grammar, you certainly don't need a degree in linguistics; nor does that degree mean you have any idea of English grammar APPARENTLY, as has been adequately proved on this forum. In fact it's left me totally confused.
poor old word 'professional' has been gravely over-used on this forum. Any toe-rag seems to have claim to it.Not calling you that at all.
