Teachers looking for a school in Zhuhai China ? Do yourself a big favour, avoid Fountain School like the plague. Since February 2004 many teachers(30+) have been fired,done a midnight runner or simply resigned.
The resignations were for a mixture of personal reasons, better jobs to go to, being told to resign or get fired, or just plain disgust at the way the school was being run especially distain and an arrogant approach from the principal, Lu Lin and a guy called Gerard Callahan, who considers himself to be above all and is still at this school.
All the above teachers were experienced, many with a string of qualifications to their name.So they werent backpack bozos who couldnt teach their way out of a paper bag.
In the time I was there, the school consistently twisted and interpreted the contract (ha! burst of mirthless,ironic laughter there at the use of the " c " word) to their benefit and frequently added/changed clauses.
Im extremely annoyed with the disgraceful way many of the teachers were treated . For goodness sake do yourself and the teaching profession a big favour , STAY AWAY FROM THIS SCHOOL ! or you'll learn the hard way.
