Hey guys, I want to give you an update since my last post. My previous employer was able to issue to me a letter of release, an official cancellation of the Alien Work Permit, and a letter of recommendation. About ten days ago, the new school I will work at received these documents from my previous school. My new school next first sent all of my important documents to the Bureau of Education in Guiyang and they were approved at that Bureau very quickly, in about one day! Next, they were sent to the Bureau of Human Resources and Social Security, were they currently sit waiting to be looked at by an official. The Bureau of Human Resources and Social Security in Guiyang informed my new employer that we will need to wait a short period before my all of my important documents are approved (my hope is that everything is correct and they will be approved. Fingers crossed!) . After they are approved, the invitation letter and the work permit can then be issued (one again, I hope ). So sorry if the questions I am going to ask here have already been answered, but, based on the information that I wrote here, will I receive the invitation letter and work permit so I can obtain a new Z work visa at a Chinese Consulate in the United States, where I currently live now? How long does the process of waiting normally take in the city of Guiyang? Are there any current or former teachers in Guiyang on here that have gone though this process as well? I look forward to reading your replies.
