Even if you get it in writing that does not mean the school will follow the contract. In China, most contracts are meaningless. My friend won a case at the FAO of our city but there was no enforcement on the ruling. Another thing, it took a year and a half for the case to be heard. All that time and effort for nothing. Welcome to China teachers...

By the way Joe, you are wrong about that issue with Ivan. There was a case like that in my city not to long ago and the foreign teacher was attacked (i.e. assaulted) by some students. He was on the ground with forearms up covering his face. Some of the students and other teachers had to come and pull the students off the teacher. That is not a FIGHT THAT IS ASSAULT and there is a difference Joe. Two different words two different meanings, You are`WRONG JOE!!!
