Get the Job of Your Dreams With a Sample Resume
By:Jeremiah Smith

Graduating from the college can be the biggest achievement for any person in his or her life. You are now ready to take on the new world as you have successfully passed out of your college. But once you put your first step in the market you will find out that working in a real world is not that easy as you thought.

The first thing you should do before you even think to apply for a job is find a functional resume template and create your first resume. A resume or cover letter is much required if you want a decent job. Most employers will ask for a resume before even directly communicating with you. A resume shows how much interested and confidential you are for the job.

Most employers will probably have an idea that you are just fresh out of college so you won't have an industry experience but they will surely want you to have a major in the subject related to their industry and have basic knowledge of the working model through your summer jobs and other part time services. So, how are you going to present it? This is when a functional resume sample comes in and helps you make a presentable cover letter.

Starting a Functional resume

1. Start with your clear and defined career objective. Employers look for straight forward people who are more motivated towards their career goal. Having a definite objective can surely put you ahead of the crowd.
2. Now add your academic qualification and education attainment after your career objective. Give details of your university name, location, graduate year and major subjects. List any honors and achievement you have received during your academic years. Training and courses taken can also be highlighted within this section.
3. Your skills set is the most important section of the functional resume. Add all your skill set and competence you achieved.
4. Add any reference in the last section of the resume

Now, once you complete this section you will be ready with your functional resume. Use to it present yourself among the prospective employer and get hired for your favorite job. Using a sample resume format won't hurt your resume but make sure it has enough of information before you use it for real life interview.
