Cheshire cat quotes, found here!

Animal taxonomists would surely raise brows when people refer to Cheshire cats as cats. They would argue that the cats do not exist. So, where would Cheshire cat quotes come from? But hold on, what are Cheshire cats and why are they popular throughout these years?

The Cheshire cat is not a real, live cat. It is a fictional cat, or some form of character resembling the physical form of a cat, in literatures and figurative speech.

The Cheshire cat was created and mentioned by classic author Lewis Caroll in his widely popular novel, "Alice in Wonderland". The cat has caught the attention of readers, and viewers of the movie version, because of the riddle-like quotes spoken by it. For this reason, Cheshire cat quotes are popular!

Yes, in the fantasy novel, the fictional Cheshire cat was even humanized, giving it the ability to think profoundly and impart enlightenment to Alice through its interesting and profound quotes.

Many lines in "Alice in Wonderland" are popular because people are very amused at the entertaining Cheshire cat quotes. That is why many literature reviews focus on the funny or entertaining Cheshire cat quotes as they used in the novel.

Cheshire cat quotes

Therefore, it would be amusing to look at some of the entertaining and sometimes cute quotes delivered by the Cheshire cat in the novel. Reading those quotes would tickle your thoughts, but for Alice, the main character in the novel, the words were too annoying.

At one instance, the Cheshire cat told Alice that everybody is mad. By that, analysts said the quote meant that every person in the world is having his own share of personal oddity, and that it is characteristic of all people.

Some of the Cheshire cat's quotes were also so funny that they have inspired other comedy writers to pattern some dialogues after some conversations between Alice and the Cheshire cat in the novel. Among the famous quotes by Cheshire cat are those that puts questions into circular questions.

For example, Alice would ask a question to the cat. Through several exchanges of sentences, in the end, Alice would be the one who would would be asking the very same questions she asked the Cheshire cat to answer!

Figures of speech have also been apparently employed by various quotes from the Cheshire cat in "Alice in Wonderland". For profound people, those metaphors and similes were beautifully crafted that made the novel more appealing. Some sympathize with Alice and find the words not worth mentioning and truly annoying.

The famous grin

Aside from famous Cheshire cat quotes, the Cheshire cat is also known as a devilish creature with a devilish smile. Take note that in every quote uttered, the cat would suddenly disappear.

However, the disappearing act of the Cheshire cat is almost always not complete. Often the cat's grinning mouth would always stay behind and be left still talking to Alice even if the cat's body had disappeared.

That famous grin also completes each interesting quote uttered by the Cheshire cat. The novel's fanatics would always assert that Alice's adventures in Wonderland would not be complete without the occasional encounters with the cat.

The Cheshire cat's popularity

Though it is a fictional character, the Cheshire cat has widely gained popularity throughout the years. Many other books and stories have used the cat to depict funny characters, and the Cheshire cat quotes are always popular.

For example, the animated film maker Walt Disney has made the Cheshire cat more colorful by giving it a pink color, with a striped body. Emphasis on the mouth area is specified because the grin and the quotable quotes give the cat its savvy and well-loved character.

The Cheshire cat has also been depicted in bad and good lights in some other Alice in Wonderland adaptations. In some, the cat is a good character, but in others, the Cheshire has been given a character almost similar to a villain.

Truly, the cat, though fictional, is given a great treatment not just in "Alice in Wonderland" but also in figurative language and literature reviews. The Cheshire cat quotes are good enough to symbolize the trademark funny and annoying grin of the profound cat.
