TRY THE SUMMER CAPITAL OF THE PHILIPPINES

It is located on the northern part of the country. You can get there by bus or by air. A six to seven hours drive from the country's capital-Manila. Baguio City, Philippines' summer capital is a small city with beautiful sceneries and moderate weather.

The best time to be on the place is during the months of February to April wherein the famous "Panagbenga" (Flower Festival) is celebrated. Floats decorated with different freshly cut flowers parade on the streets. Street dancing is also an amazing attraction for they depict some of the Filipino's cultures and traditions.

The country's Philippine Military Academy is located in the place. Attending the graduation is an unforgettable experience most specially when you will have the chance to witness the hundred night show (one hundred nights before the graduation). The cadets/cadettes are great impersonators.Your night will surely be one of fun and excitement. If you are lucky, you might even have the chance of getting souvenir items for free during graduation.

Baguio is within Benguet Province which is also known as the salad bowl of the Philippines because farmers here produce the largest quantity of vegetables and the sweet strawberries. It is also in here where you can find the best strawberry wine,jam,jelly at reasonable prices. In 2005, Benguet made it to the Guinness Book of World records for making the biggest strawberry cake ever.

Baguio may not have beaches but it can offer you other means of relaxed bathing such as the hot springs, swimming pools. For recreation, you may also go on a horse back riding, boating, gulf, picnics or simply walking to the Lourdes grotto.

Roaming around the place is not a problem for Filipinos are very helpful,you can ask help from anybody and they are willing to even accompany you to your destinations. You will be amazed by their helpfullness,honesty and hospitability. Law enforcers are all over the place 24 hours a day.
