Travel in the Philippines

How do I Complain to the U.S. Embassy in Manila?
By:Emily Manthei

When traveling abroad in the Philippines, the American Embassy can be a lifeline to home for American tourists. If you see something suspicious or encounter an obstacle or problem while traveling there, report it to the Embassy in Manila. Likewise, if you are a resident or national of the country, you may need to report complaints about American travelers or policies to the Embassy. Communication is the key to diplomatic problem-solving around the world.

Visit the U.S. Embassy's Manila website at manila.usembassy.gov.

Click on the "Contact Us" link so you will know where to direct your complaint.

Scroll down the list of services to find out which branch you should contact for your particular concern. Try the "Public Affairs" section if your complaint does not fit into other specific categories.

Call the phone number and extension listed under the department to make an appointment at the Embassy.

Appear at the Embassy at the time of your appointment, or fax the Embassy section with your written complaint.
