How To Never Feel Alone
By:Jeanna Gabellini

Have you ever been at a crowded party and felt alone?

Have there been times when you were by yourself and felt completely content? Maybe even joyful? Or in love with life?

Feeling alone or lonely has nothing to do with being around other people or being in a relationship. It has everything to do with being connected to your self. As soon as you go down a negative path or feel like you’ve been done wrong, you will start to feel alone and that whomever, maybe even the world is against you.

Many songs are written about feeling alone. Most people have felt alone at some point in their life. But the like the quote above from 3 Doors Down, the sun is always there. You just may not be able to see it. Moving into the light is always possible, although sometimes you may need to ask for a hand to be guided to it.

Last night I was channel surfing and caught the last half of 20/20 with Barbara Walters. The story was about the life and death of Steve Irwin (that wild animal TV guy, as some know him). His wife and children were sad and missing him. Yet, his wife spoke of still feeling his love and purpose strongly in her life. She felt deeply connected to her husband, yet he is no longer with her physically. How is that possible?

She is tapping into a very grounded place within her heart. She also works with animals, which are very connected to pure positive energy. I know that nature does it for me. If I feel that my ego mind (fear) has separated me from my higher self (my wise and spiritual mind), I simply walk outside and feel whole again after just a few minutes of deep breathing.

We forget that we are truly never alone anyway. There are many people in this world who care about us and will gladly give you love if you reach out. And when you can’t find anybody to connect with in a hard moment, you have an infinite stream of love to tap into called God, Universal Source Energy, Angels or whatever you call that source that is bigger than you.

What’s the key to always feeling complete and whole? Remember that you can tap into love anytime you want, whether people are near you or not. You are always whole. It is only a perception that you are not. I know that I personally have demanded help from God in some of my tougher times and help has arrived within minutes. Sometimes my dog will walk into the room, or a friend will call or I’ll be guided to check email and someone has sent me some kind words. Ask for connection from within yourself and you will find it.

Where you will not find connection is if you are waiting for someone else’s love to fill you up. If the connection you want is dependant on someone else’s actions, then what you want either won’t happen or won’t last if it does. Look for guidance back to yourself. Then you will never feel alone. Make no mistake, I’m not telling you to act like someone who doesn’t need anyone in your life. Other people add depth and enlightenment to your life. But true joy and contentment will be experienced only when you are connected to yourself.

You are a brilliant stand-alone unit. Think of other people as the accessories that add more options to your life.

Crikey – that’s the way it is!
