Work Twice as Hard, Enjoy It More, Exhausted Less
By:Christopher Walker

Work twice as hard, enjoy it more, exhausted less.

True or false?

• Long hours are the inevitable sacrifice of business people
• The higher up the ladder, the harder the work
• Lazy people earn less
• Relationships thrive on devotion
• Self development leads to peace of mind.

Have you answered the above? Lets see how your answers compare to the laws of inspired living.

Long hours are the result of business life. Yes, Sometimes. But long hours are also the demise of relationships, health and respect, self respect. People do not necessarily make better decisions, function more efficiently by working longer. In my book, Evolveyabastard, I explain, “The myth of hard work is so contradictory to reality. Evolve means do more in less time. Consistent long hours are simply the result of fear of failure and therefore bad management”

The higher up the ladder, the harder the work. This is how it appears. But the real truth is the higher up the ladder, the more responsibility one has. If one is not mentally, emotionally or academically prepared for responsibility, then, the answer is a resounding yes. Because responsibility means fear of failure, worry, uncertainty and insecurity. We all rise to our level of incompetence. Leaders more than others, and incompetence brings insecurity. Hard work is often a compensation for uncertainty. Good leadership is the opposite. Quiet confidence.

Lazy people earn less. The answer to this is no, they don’t. Sometimes the person who simple does one thing right, has allot of spare time on their hands. They might play the guitar for a few hours and then what? We call this person lazy but they have done a great days work – not wasted their energy on diversions. Are you filling your life with diversions so people don’t think you are lazy. Just filling your life with busy – ness is not going to create fulfillment. Focus on your one passion, and be rebuilding your life force for the rest.

Relationships thrive on Devotion. False. Relationships do not thrive on devotion. Relationships thrive on far more important things than devotion. Devotion alone kills the passion, inspiration and romance of relationship. Devotion is an element but great relationships often lack it. For more, read Sacred Love.

Self Development leads to peace of mind. After 30 years working in the New Age industry of self development, I can assure you that the people who have done the most self development have the most disturbed minds. They may know all the techniques to gain peace of mind, and they may be very peaceful when living in a cave in the Himalayas, but put them in a real relationship, a real business and see them spin. Real self development comes when we have peace of mind in the chaos of a real, everyday relationship. Here, the self developed so called spiritual individual will try to modify and mould a relationship to cause it not to disturb them. Change people, fix people, and therefore, above all, judge people. There is a better way. Sacred love.

Live with Spirit!
