Relax Or You're Going To End Up Like All My Dead Friends
By:Jan Tincher

Relax, and learn to laugh at yourself, or all the old people you know will laugh at you. They'll say, "Look at yourself. You're worrying about everything, and nothing is going right. When are you ever going to learn? You gotta relax, or you're going to end up like all my dead friends."

Do you know that the majority of heart attacks come on Monday? Why could that be, I wonder? Could it be that the people about ready to suffer a heart attack are telling themselves, "Oh, crap! It's Monday! I've got this, this, and this to do. I hate it!" Why not tell yourself, "Today is FunDay! I've got problems, but I can handle them -- one problem at a time."

*** TIP *** And by the way, where did *suffer* a heart attack come in? You don't *suffer* an illness or *suffer* arthritis. Why should you *suffer* a heart attack? Why not think of it as *had a heart attack and got over it*? Why *suffer* anything any longer than necessary? You *had* a heart attack. Now, get over it and get on with your life. Does it seem like I picked on heart attacks? I did. Now, *I'm done.* You be, too. First, consult your doctor, then live your life!

Here are some more ways to learn to laugh at yourself.

*That's not a gray hair. It's blonde.* What happens when you tell yourself that? You know you're wrong, but it's like releasing a pressure valve. That's what you're after.

*Balding isn't so bad. That's less hair to wash.* You know, guys, many women do consider bald guys sexier. Have you ever thought about that?

*I'm not too short. The other guys/gals are too tall.* Who knows, maybe some of them are feeling exactly that way. Some people do feel too tall. And you know what I say to them? *Nah, the others are too short!* Do whatever makes you feel good, gets your shoulders back, makes you stand tall -- even if you aren't.

*I am too fat. That's all there is to it. I have no control.* Take control! You just had the thought that you were too fat. Take control and never say that again, that's the first step. You think saying you are too fat will change something for you? Not! The more you say it, the more you think it, the more you *are* it.

NEWS FLASH: You don't even have to get off your duff to make a change. You can change your thinking right where you are. Decide that every time you sit in that comfortable chair of yours, that you won't eat any snacks in it, you won't *feel* fat in it, you won't think fat in it. You will have your motivational books right there and you will read how to better yourself in all areas. That is now your *slim* chair. Enough said?

*I am too old.* Wow! That tripped my trigger! I've already told you what I think about that in my article "Attention Old People Of All Ages!" If you didn't read it, click here: Attention Old People Of All Ages!

But that was pretty much for *older* older people. How about the *younger* older people? Are you too old to go back to school? My son *and you'll have to forgive me if this is tooting our family horn,* is 35 years old, has a young family, a terrific occupation, and he's going to school one night a week. He won't be through with that schooling for five years. Any of you thirty-year-olds out there saying you're too old, too busy, too what? I think the words might be *too impatient.* Well, guess what. You may still be impatient five years from now, but it's up to you if you're impatient AND accomplished in whatever you wanted to do, or still just impatient.

*** TIP *** Look at your *impatient* picture. Is it too far away to seem like a reality? Is it like bouncing with impatience? Bring it closer, make it brighter, mellow it out with music or whatever, experiment with it until when you look at it, you just *have* to do it. Then get busy and do whatever it is you were too impatient to do.

If you like this technique, pass it on to a friend. Watch as their life changes for the better.
