Enthusiasm Takes You Where Talent Alone Can't - Self Improvement
By:John Mason

You can’t deliver the goods if your heart is heavier than the load. Count your blessings; instead of thinking your blessings don’t count. You can succeed at almost anything for which you have limitless enthusiasm. The world belongs to the enthusiastic.

A major difference between people is their level of enthusiasm. Your enthusiasm reflects your reserves, your unexploited resources and perhaps your future. Winston Churchill said, “Success is going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm.” You will never rise to great heights without joy and enthusiasm.

Enthusiasm must be nourished with new actions, new aspirations, new efforts and new vision. It’s your own fault if your enthusiasm is gone. You have failed to feed it. What’s enthusiasm? Henry Chester answers, “Enthusiasm is nothing more or less than faith in action.” Helen Keller said, “Optimism is the faith that leads to achievement.” Nothing can be done without hope or confidence.

It isn’t our position, but our disposition that makes us happy. Remember, some people freeze in the winter. Others ski. A positive attitude always creates positive results.

Attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference. If you live a life of negativity you will find yourself seasick during your entire voyage. The person who is negative is half-defeated before even beginning.

There is a direct correlation between our passion and our potential. You could be the light of the world, but no one will know it unless the switch is turned on. Follow what the book of Ecclesiastes says: “Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might.” Being positive is essential to achievement and the foundation of true progress.
