Believe You Can Do It!
By:SK Wong

When President J. F. Kennedy declared to the world that American would put man on to the moon by the end of the decade, no one knew then how to send man to the moon. Kennedy strong belief had set in motion a series of research action and coordination. On July 20, 1969, Neil Armstrong became the first man to walk on the moon and made his famous statement, “That’s one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.”

Most of us may not have the belief in the thing we do as strong as Kennedy’s belief of sending man to moon. However, our believe system shape the way we live and the future we hold to,

"The only thing that stands between a man and what he wants from life is often merely the will to try and the faith to believe that it is possible!"

Many times when we started something, there is always a lot of “concerned” friends and relatives telling us that this cannot be achieve, and we buy their concerns thus letting go of our desire of achieving our dream.

“If you do not have dream, how are you going to make your dream come true!” and “All dreams are possible if we have the courage to pursue them!” siad Walt Disney. Our mind is a very powerful computer, much powerful than any computers you can find on earth, and it have been confirmed that human only use a fraction of the potential of human mind. One good thing about our mind is that it cannot differentiate between what is real and what is vividly imagined! Don’t believe me? Try this simple imagination exercise. “Imagine that you just have a walk in the park and back home. It was hot and you were thirsty. You reach into the fridge and took out a big Yellow lemon and the aroma of the lemon smell so fresh. You took out a knife and cut the lemon into two half and squeeze the juice out into a mug intend to make lemonade.” Alright, let’s stop here; do you have more saliva in your mouth? But where is the lemon?

Understanding that our mind cannot make a distinct differentiation between what is vividly imagine and what is real will help us in achieving our dream. Many motivational guru and expert had always promoting the power of visualization to success.

When performing visualization, always aim higher than what you believe you can achieve. There is a old saying, aim for the moon and if you cannot achieve it you will get the star. Of course, we all know that stars are further away from the moon but important thing is you get the idea.

One last exercise before you started dreaming, I mean visualizing.

1. Swing your arm backward as far back with your index finger pointing to where you arm can swing and remember the place.

2. Close your eyes and imagine you can swing 3-4 inches further.

3. Swing your arm again and see where your index finger point to.

It’s 3-4 inches further than the original place.

Don’t believe me, try it out yourself. When you realize that what you can do with your potential and believe tahn you can achieve your dream, you are set for greatness. Remember; all things are created twice! One in your mind and another in physical manifestation!
