Motivation Tips

The Secret to Staying Motivated
By:Anthony D Carter

Are you motivated each day when you wake up in the morning? Do you spring out of bed eager to engage your daily tasks with enthusiasm and vigor?

If not you don't have to experience a lack in motivation when it comes facing situations in your life. You gain the motivation that you need to get things done.

No longer do you have to trudge through life feeling defeated, tired and frustrated.

There are several techniques that you can use to garner the drive that you need in order to get the things that you want.

Getting and staying motivated will help you enjoy life to a greater degree than you ever imagined possible.

Two Keys to Staying Motivated

Energy is one of the main components to motivation. In order to get things done maintain high reserves of energy. The more energy you have the more you will be able to do.

You will find that if you can get going and keep going you'll start to gain momentum. When you get momentum even difficult task become easier to deal with because you'll find that you are on a roll.

Maintain a well balanced diet, exercise regularly and get plenty of rest. This will help you build a high energy level.

The other key part of motivation is memory. Use your memory to recall past successes.

This exercise will do wonders for your confidence and your ability to bounce back after disappointments. Rather than dwelling on failures, simply replay your past victories over and over again in your mind.

Thinking about past successes when facing new challenges also dissipates nervousness and eliminates procrastination. You simply say to yourself, "I've done it before, so I know I can do it again." Then you get to it and get it done!

Motivational Affirmations Help You Stay On Track

On some days it is hard to get out of bed much less tackle a set of goals that you are aiming for. At times like these you need to have good self talk.

That is where positive affirmations come in. Affirmations can motivate you when you are feeling the worst.

Positive affirmations are simply statements used in the present tense affirming that what you want is already yours.

Some good examples are:
• I am wealthy and I make great decisions which make me richer.
• I am a winner and I enjoy hitting my goals.

If you have statements which fire you up when you say them then you can pick yourself up at any time of the day regardless of what is happening.

If you say to yourself, "I am so happy to be in process of accomplishing my dream of owning a brand new convertible sports car" while you are working overtime to save up the down payment for it you will be motivated.

Use motivational affirmations all throughout the day, but use them especially when you are in difficult circumstances. That way you'll be able to stay up and preserver as you press towards your goals.

You can also use motivational affirmations for those days when you simply want to stay in bed with the covers over your head.

Search for motivational affirmations that speak to you. Whether you write them yourself or use others that have already been created, find statements that touch your life. Think about your goals that make you want to be a better person, and then turn these thoughts into positive statements.

The secret to staying motivated is keep yourself in the best mental and physical condition. Do this by maintaining a high energy level and using positive affirmations.
