Motivation Tips

Frequently Asked Questions of Motivation
By:Mateo Martins

There is a lot of confusion and uncertainty when it comes to the best way to motivate yourself. This is mainly due to all the gurus and self help organizations constantly claiming to have found the next big thing that are going to change people's lives forever and help them motivate themselves at all times. Motivating yourself is actually quite simple once you have enough practice and get the hang of it.

Even though it is quite simple a lot of people don't exercise the power of self motivation in their lives, simply because they are confused and have a lot of questions. In this article we will go through the most frequently asked questions of pushing yourself to success and look at the answers to each one of them.

The first question you often hear is: which way is the best one to motivate yourself?

Whenever you get confused about something the best thing you can do is to focus on what you know works. The first step in motivating yourself and making sure that you follow through on the things you commit yourself to, is to have goals that you feel are really valuable and that excite you and push you even when you don't feel like being pushed.

The next question you often see is: Where should I start, there are so many possibilities?

Don't ever let too many choices in your life hinder you. Appreciate the fact that you have many choices and go with the one that makes the most sense for you at the time being. If you hesitate and spend a lot of time analyzing and researching each single possibility there is a really great chance that you will lose all your momentum and won't be able to take action because all your motivation is gone.

What do I do if I lose my motivation along the way?

If you start feeling less driven than in the beginning don't panic. This is perfectly normal and just because you don't feel motivated doesn't mean that you shouldn't work. Not feeling like doing something, has never been a valid excuse for not continuing your work towards your goals and dreams. Recognize that you are not as motivated as you used to be and just keep going, you will quickly realize that once you don't resist or try to force the process your motivation will come right back.
