Let Go - Move Into Change
By:Dorothy M. Neddermeyer, PhD

The well known expression, 'let go,' is commonly used to remind oneself or others to 'let go,' or release, as from one's grip, 'no longer hold onto' something.

Have you wanted to 'let go' of something that was no longer serving your best interest? Letting go is difficult sometimes, because, humans cling to the familiar and are to some degree adverse to change that which would cause discomfort or take one out of one's comfort zone. Most people can remember something that when they remembered it, it felt uncomfortable. If you are anxious, tense, worry or concerned about anything, begin to relax, l'et go' of the thought that is driving the feel. No matter what seems to be awry in your life, you can 'let go' and change course to something that is in your best interest.

Whatever you might be holding onto, whether it is a relationship, a bad job, regret, remorse, shame, guilt, disappointment, anger, sadness or something as simple as a piece of clothing, sometimes you need to simply 'let go.' It can be difficult to 'let go' and move into the unknown. Unless you want to be dealing with it the rest of your life, you need to learn to just 'let it go' and 'move on.'

Dr. Otis Thomas, the renowned Kinesiologist, recommends using an affirmation when one is having difficulty in 'letting go.' If you want to 'let go' of something that transpired that you wish hadn't or something you did not do that you wish you had done, using an affirmation is very powerful.

Take a deep breath, release it slowly. Then, say, "I release whatever is no longer serving me and so does my inner being. I release this now forever to my Creator. I release and so does my inner being. I release this forever to my Creator." "I declare I am free now to exercise my ability to 'let go' and change course to something that is in my best interest."
