How to Treat Panic Attacks That Attack Without Permission

Fear and anxiety are the underlying feelings that bring on stressful panic attacks. Sure there is the medication route on how to treat panic attacks but such medication in itself does not ultimately cure the disorder. There does appear to be too few pros and far too many harmful cons in side effects like; drowsiness, lack of energy, clumsiness, slow reflexes, slurred speech, confusion and disorientation, depression etc. Jeez, so let's rather look at a self help approach huh?

You could learn that the feelings and sensations you are having to begin with could be perfectly normal and you're not going as crazy as you might think or let other people think you are. You could learn how to control and improve your breathing habits, giving better concentration to taking in more free oxygen into your system. Shallow breathing starves the bloodstream of oxygen. Get in touch with self-help therapies that give concentration to proper breathing. Like, yoga and many other available disciplines, for instance.

Pursue such no drug therapies as those that address behavioural responses, teaching and showing how to handle one's emotions for greater emotional intelligence and maturity within the psyche, like what is important and what isn't. Examine your perspectives. I love a car bumper sticker I saw once, that read "it doesn't mucking fatter anyway"

Get to watch more comedy movies. A sense of humour is a sense of proportion. Master, illusion. Much of what we think is reality, is in fact illusion according to how we choose to perceive what influences our being. Stay away from grossly unhappy people who want you to wallow in misery with them.

Panic and fear causes those attacks. Find and pinpoint the occasions when and under what conditions and circumstances your fear was great enough to cause an anxiety attack for your understanding and knowledge. Therapies abound that can warmly help you get to the root of your anxiety problem and develop better coping skills. No need to go it alone. There are wonderful people who want to and can help you knock this thing on the head.
