The 2 Types of Motivation

Do you feel like everything is in a mix with you? Do you feel disturbed and troubled? Are you finding it difficult to focus on your work? If you're getting side tracked from your personal aims, goals, and objectives, you'll want to get back on track, somehow; wouldn't you? You're probably in need of a few suggestions on how to get back on track. There are two main types of motivation. The first kind is known as extrinsic motivation, while the second form is commonly referred to as intrinsic motivation. Extrinsic motivation stems from factors of influence which are independent of you. Intrinsic motivation is based on influential factors which are not foreign to your personality and being (spirit).

When we speak of the intrinsic types of motivation, the influential factors which depend on your being do not relate to any religious idea or religious concept. Usage of the term 'spirit' refers to a person's inner 'drive; the term does not refer to the religious philosophy that delves on the existence of men's souls.

There are types of intrinsic motivation which can effectively influence your ability to stay focused on your personal pursuits. In order to initiate a process that aims to identify the natures of your individual pursuits, you have to answer some important questions. The answers to these questions are very significant to any path of self-discovery.

When we talk of the extrinsic motivation types, the influential factors are independent of you personal pursuits are factors which relate to your environment and the sociological aspects of human life. Here are the questions that you can answer so that you can determine what's behind your inability to stay focused on your work.

Do you feel that you are popular among your work colleagues?

When it comes to conversation, do people need to approach you, for a talk?

Are you happy in your place of work?

How do you handle office tension?

Do you gossip, when at work?

Getting Back on Track

Sometimes, you just have to remind yourself of a few essential aspects of your existence. You have to remind yourself of the answer to these questions: Why are you alive? Why are you living? You have to remember how you were, as a child. Doing so can draw the cobwebs from your emotional state and you will be able to find some clarity. Questions about your ambition and your special skills are forms of intrinsic motivation because the answers to these questions might lead to signs which call for certain changes you may have to make. These changes will have positive effects on your personality. On the other hand, work environment related questions are extrinsic types of motivation because the answers can help you improve on your professional life.
