Motivation Tips

5 Musings on Motivation
By:Anthony D Carter

1. Motivation can come from external pressure or internal inspiration. If you don't motivate yourself to do what needs to be done then you can count on the likelihood that someone else will attempt to motivate you to do it. You either do tasks for your own reasons or you do them as a result of someone else's desires being placed upon you.

2. What you focus on grows in importance. If you are constantly thinking of the failed attempts that you have had then you will set yourself up to experience more of them. Most successful people knew they would succeed before they actually did. They simply focused on the picture of success that they had in their mind until the achieved it.

3. Your level of motivation is determined in large part by what comes out of your mouth. If you complain about what needs to be done then your desire to do it wanes. If you tell yourself that there are definite benefits to be attained by successfully finishing the work that is before you then you will get it done.

4. One of the best ways to stay motivated is to have a good memory of what it is that you want. This picture must be held in your mind through good times and bad.

5. Remember, the job is not done until you are completely finished. You must remain persistent regardless of the situations that you face. When you are persistent you will develop habits that are crucial to your eventual success. It is easier to sustain the necessary level of motivation when you stick to your routine on a consistent basis. This habit prevents procrastination as you set yourself up for eventual accomplishment of your goals. Each time you do take the proper action you are moving closer and closer to achieving the results that you desire.
