Say "Yes" - How Taking Risk and Saying "Yes" Will Transform Your Life
By:Dr. Shaun Stuto

I saw the movie "Yes Man" one Sunday night this year. It was an inspirational, feel-good movie all around. Jim Carey plays a character that has always been closed minded, negative and apathetic. He is encouraged to attend a seminar called "Yes." The concept is learn to say Yes. In fact make it a discipline to say "Yes" as often as you can.

The concept might seem silly to some and scary to others AND it should. The only people on earth that like change are babies with wet diapers. Once we learn to embrace our discomfort we deepen our understanding of ourselves. The only times we are truly growing is when we are uncomfortable. The more comfortable and "used" to being uncomfortable we become the more accelerated our growth and maturity will be.

A friend of mine, Skip Lacour, started a program called Manformation to teach men alpha male action strategies. He believes, as I do, that the characteristics of powerful, influential and charismatic men are reproducible and can be learned. One of the games he plays with his disciples is the "yes" game. When the waiter asks, would you like pepper for your salad, the answer is "yes."

The concept is get comfortable having other people do things for you, and start saying "yes" to people even when you don't really want to. Over time, you will find that you develop stronger relationships, get more of what you really want, and live a more fulfilling life.

By saying "yes" you open yourself up to new experiences, the unknown, adventures, possibilities and wealth. Start squeezing more juice out of every day and out of life itself. Enjoy the journey, realize that if things don't get taken care of NOW, they never will. Tomorrow never comes. Find today perfect and deal with what comes at you. Become a "Yes (wo)man" NOW and enjoy an extraordinary life!
