Everyone on this planet was born with certain strengths and weaknesses. Our job is to find out what these are and use them to the best of our ability to achieve success and happiness. In life, everyone wants to be happy and just life the best life they can. Everyone on this planet can achieve whatever their goals and dreams are, what we are lacking is something to push us into this direction. We need insight and wisdom to effectively use what we already have. If you have high self esteem and see yourself positively than you are a confident person. To be a confident person we need to discover our inner strengths and use them to feel like we have a purpose and so that we can fully love ourselves for who we are.

When we are confident we feel like we can do or take on anything that comes down our path. Even with the chance of failure or defeat we continue to strive for more. Whether you take advantage of your strengths and use them to achieve happiness and success is all dependent on your self confidence. If you are not confident in yourself you value what you excel at as useless skills.

Building confidence starts with going after your dreams and taking advantage of your strengths. If your parents have always wanted you to be good at soccer yet you knew you were never really any good don't play it anymore. Do the things you are good at, maybe its writing, maybe its dancing, or maybe its cooking. If you always thought you were bad at cooking yet everyone loved your food, accept the compliments and feel good about yourself.

To gain confidence you must focus on what you are good at and than just keep building it from there. You cannot turn yourself into someone who you are not. So stop trying to be something else and start living the happy life you always wanted.
