Motivation Tips

Motivation - No Need to Feel Bad, Ever
By:M Monk

I realised something the other day about motivation - I was sitting round feeling sorry for myself in a way, thinking how am I going to get time to do all this? As usual, I was worrying about various projects I wanted to do, studies I want to undertake, housework that needed doing, outdoor chores and projects, visiting people I want to see − it goes on, when it struck me that I had forgotten something really good, really basic, and really important that I had learnt: you don't sit around feeling sorry for yourself. That gets you absolutely nowhere, stuck in the same place. What you do is create what you want in your mind. You really can have all, or at least most of the things you want, but you have to visualise it in your mind first, at the very least. There is no need to sit round feeling sorry about things, because when you do that you create that reality. So there is no need to ever feel bad about not having what you want because all you have to do is just go about creating what you want all the time in your mind. Visualising how it will be when you get it. How it will feel, what it will be like − the details of what it is you want. Then things start to happen in your life that make it possible to have it. Obviously you need to act too, but how can you NOT act when you are excited about all the good to come?

This next step is an important key: to not just visualise what you want but to really know you are going to get it. Know that this system of manifestation works. I know it works because I've tried it and manifested many of the things I want. It amazes me to know that the thing I was visualising already existed before I was visualising it. And it took me to visualise it, and then 'poof', one day, couple of years later, there it was. (I've used it mostly for places I want to live - houses.) This system I have found is not instant by any means. You have to be patient usually, because it arrives sometime later, but it will come.

They say that gratitude is the way, I've heard that said so many times and couldn't feel grateful myself, but now I think now this is a big secret because that is how this manifestation thing works. Knowing in advance you are going to get what you want, and being grateful in advance for what you are going to receive, seems to be the most powerful way to manifest it.

The other powerful method I have learnt is just simply having faith. I use this method − when I remember to do it − when things seem bad and I can't visualise things being good for whatever reason; maybe there's no time, it might be a transitory bad situation, momentary embarrassment, or during an argument, in stressful situations, even to not being able to find a parking space, and all the way to thinking about or discussing a seemingly intractable problem, I just think to myself, "I have faith", and I breathe it in, and some time later something good will happen, the problem will shift, all of it's own accord, without any further effort on my part. This really works too.

They say a mustard seed of faith moves mountains. Well, this really must be true, if all you have to do is breathe in, thinking to yourself, I have faith, and that is enough to move the problem along, get it shifting! How powerful is that? Imagine how powerful you will be when you really begin to build real, proper faith! Phew.

Back to motivation. If you make a list of all the things you want in your life, and when feeling tired, frustrated, sad, feeling like giving up, just look at the list - there's bound to be something on it that gets you excited, no matter how bad you're feeling − and just visualise receiving it. Visualise all the details about it. The more details you put in the more you will get. And if you don't believe yet that just visualising something will manifest it, just breathe in and say to yourself, I have faith. You don't even have to believe that that works yet. It still seems to work. Because it worked before for me when I didn't yet believe it worked, when I was first starting out on this. That's how I got started because I noticed that it did work even though I didn't really believe it would! Didn't yet believe I had the power to manifest things somehow.

But if you have progressed to believing you can manifest just by visualising, then spend as much time as possible visualising what you want, making out like you've already got it. And if you can be grateful as well (saying thanks in advance for having already received it), that will really shift things along and bring it forth fast − or when the time is right for you. When I said earlier you will have to be patient to receive what it is you want, I did notice once I said to my partner, "We're going to move!" This was at a time of heightened stress and frustration about where we were living. It was driving us mad. So I said, "We are going to move", with a very determined demeanour. To be honest, I wasn't really that sure it would work because I was still testing this method out really, but from that day, we moved I think 3-4 months later. The time flew by from when I said that.

Now we live in a big house by a lake − that was my partner's visualisation, the lake − and we're paying the price I had visualised paying, in a quiet lane by a river, with virtually no other houses about, just the odd scattering of other people here and there, just the way we like it! There's a farm nearby, but not so it will make too much noise for us. I like a bit of life around, whereas my partner would have us be totally isolated if he could. This is the perfect compromise. The house is the biggest we've ever lived in, it has big, light windows, which was one of the things we both visualised (because we had previously lived in a farm cottage that had small windows making it dark inside), and enough garden to make it feel just nice, without it being too much to look after. It faces the right direction so that I get sun in my office in the morning and my partner gets it in the evening - just the way we like it!

I could go on about all the things we visualised we wanted and we have got here. Really, the more detail you put in the better. It's truly amazing!

Summarising: Never feel bad - or this will manifest. Always try to visualise what you want, and when things get really bad, just think to yourself, I have faith. When you really believe this works, or start to notice the things you want manifesting in your life, be grateful for the next thing you will receive, or in general for the good to come! The more specific the better, but just visualising "all good things coming my way" will work too. So visualisation, the details, making a list of things that motivate you, having faith if you don't believe yet, and being grateful for having received it before it has even manifested. Never feel sorry for yourself again.
