Activating The Powers Within - Your Chance to Excel
By:Larry Icabandi Nabiong

Whenever I see flowers blooms, sun shines, leaves sway, clouds move---I feel the urge to smile. You too, I am sure, do. With these around us, beauty and quietness exude magic to our soul making us feel that God loves us so much. People around us become our inspirations to go on with our daily toils, with our dreams or aspirations, to mention a few. With a smile from someone whom we love-- like husband, wife, son or daughter-- we feel that we are loved, taken care of, valued in return. What with their care and attention we gain confidence, we feel blessed, we feel uplifted. Their hugs and kisses make us energized, recharged. Our souls are in inner bliss making our existence bearable.

Imagine you are alone-- hungry and unloved. How would you keep on believing that you are still loved, taken care of, valued if you were in a destitute condition? Such unfortunate lot, or should I say plight, makes our existence doubly hard, uncomfortable, disdainful? You would rather be dead than had existed alone and lonely: wanting for love, crying for hugs and kisses which invigorate the soul, energize the body, nourish the mind. Of course a normal person would just dismiss this as part and parcel of living. That, sometimes, you had to suffer loneliness and the like, to learn the value of having someone by your side-- someone who could make you laugh and not laugh at you, someone who could cry with you whenever who have something to cry for, someone who could cheer you up when you are down, and so on.

How uplifting it is to know that despite your shortcomings, you have someone making you feel whole, complete. That despite your vulnerability you have someone making you feel strong, unconquerable.

Lucky is a person who has love to feel, hope to dream, and faith to keep on living. Lucky is a person who has the world a paradise to him because someone-- as mighty as Adam or as lovely as Eve-- around. Luckier, however, is a person sans an Adam or Eve that could still enjoy living a solitary life: alone, sans loneliness, though. Tough existence for some --except to those who have character and strong composition as a man trained to exist amidst difficulties--such existence becomes a drudgery not, but a challenging experience, instead.

Self-awareness with regards to real situation could teach one believes that with things around-- one could get strengths, values and all. With disciplined mind, pure heart, jolly spirit could dwell inside then life becomes bearable, enjoyable and meaningful.

A simple joy of looking at flowers, of feeling the soft caress of lenient air, of hearing the lullaby of brook, of smelling the aroma of mixed scents in the forest or garden.

You can draw strengths within you because you have an innate strength, you can discover your inner might because you had been blessed with prior to your appearance in the world.
You only need to unlearn ancient fallacies spawned by ages of ignorance wreaking havoc to the human psyche.
