Motivation Tips

Motivation - 12 Universal Laws For Staying in Motion to Hit Your Goals
By:Anthony D Carter

1. The Law of Do IT Now

Instead of dreading the necessary task make a habit of doing them first. Anytime you face a difficult task do it as soon as possible. Do not let procrastination take hold.

2. The Law of Silence

Keep quite about your plans. Just go about doing the work to hit your goals. Don't seek approval from friends or associates. You do not need to expose yourself to the doubt and ridicule of other people. When you tell everyone what you are going to do, some of them will give you a hard time. They will do things to demotivate you.

3. The Law of Expectancy

Expect the best in all of your endeavors. Expect to hit your goals. Do everything with the expectancy of it being successful.

4. The Law of Desire

Maintain a strong desire obtaining what you want. Your desire will motivate you to do what it takes.

5. The Law of Rewards

Give your self rewards for completing important tasks. Plan a celebration for when you hit your goal. It should be an event that you look forward to.

6. The Law of Focus

Keep your mind trained on what you want and what you have to do to get it. Work your plan with the goal in mind. Stay focused on your desired result.

7. The Law of Delayed Gratification

Put pleasure seeking on hold until you hit your goal. Make working for your goal the main pleasurable activity in your life.

8. The Law of Consistency

Inch by inch it is a cinch. Just keep doing what you need to do until you get what you want. It is consistent action which stops the urge to procrastinate. When you do the work to hit your goals on a consistent basis you eventually get good results. It is inevitable. This motivates you to do more.

9. The Law of Selective Hearing

Pay no attention to the words of pessimistic people. Do not listen to the news reports which tell you that now is a bad time to start your endeavor. Only pay attention to supportive people. Listen to their words of encouragement.

10. The Law of Habit

Make taking action a habit. Tell yourself to "do it now" when you realize that there is something that you must do in order to hit your goals. Make consistent work a habit as well. Develop good work habits. Become so engrossed in your work that you have no time to dwell on failure or disappointments. It is easy to stay motivated when you never give yourself to a chance to be distracted by temporary setbacks.

11. The Law of Momentum

As you apply these laws you will gain momentum. After you are on a roll you will begin to see positive results from your work. Seeing these results motivate you to so more. Success breeds success.

12. The Law of Memory

Apply a selective memory. Develop a short memory of failures, setbacks and disappointments. Keep strong memories of successes.
