The idea for ESL Teachers United was conceived in 2010 by ESL Teachers who wanted a more professional way to apply for ESL jobs as well as plan for their trips abroad. This website is designed in an effort to get all ESL related information located into one place vs having to browse 10-30 different sites/forums to find informed information. Now ESL teachers, students & businesses can come to one website to search ESL schools, locate services they need abroad and post or search ESL job openings. Finally a website where all planning for an ESL job can be done in one website!

This website is divided into four main parts:

1) The International ESL Forum
(Free Speech ESL Forum)

2) The International ESL Yellow Pages
(ESL School & Business Directory)

3) The International ESL School Ratings & Reviews
(ESL School Rating & Review System)

4) The International ESL Job Classifieds
(Post ESL & English Related Jobs)

Membership in all sections is free and information added is a cooperative effort between ESL students, ESL teachers, ESL related businesses and the ESL Teachers United staff. Information can be added/edited by guests & members with one common goal in mind: Get everything that is ESL or ESL related into one easy to use database.

ESL Teachers United was established in July of 2011 as a central gathering point for which ESL teachers, students, schools & related businesses can rely on for the most current, updated and verifiable information concerning all areas of being an ESL teacher, inside and outside the classroom. If information is missing, not current or just wrong, any member and/or guest can edit or add the correct or updated information into the correct area. Once verified, the new information is available for all to use.
