Lessons & Classroom Games for Teachers

ESL game and questions only, please - ESL lesson
By:Said-Ali <alijul03@yahoo.com>

It's me Ali again to this site with my NEW game.
I am really happy to share my ESL games with my enthusiastic friends who are far from their home lands teaching ESL in China.

Type of activity: Pair work
Function practiced: Four types of Questions
Exponent: Giving questions, responding to questioning
Level: Pre-intermediate to advanced

INSTRUCTIONS
1. Pair work
2. Students will be set in pairs. One of the students in pair begins the game asking a question (any type of question) and the other pair will respond with a question.

e.g.:
A - How're you today?

B - Can you guess?

A - Are you feeling good?

D - What do you think? etc.....

This game is better played in middle size classes as all students will have a chance to practice oral English skills.

For upper level students it's better to choose a topic that fascinates them.
