Alphabet Soup, a free online game provided by PBS Kids, features characters from the television show 'Between the Lions.' Users are provided a sample sentence with a missing word, and once the sentence is read aloud, letters appear in a bowl of soup that spell the missing word. Students are asked to click the letters in the correct order to spell the missing word. Students may also click a small fly at the bottom left of the screen to be provided with a clue, which is read aloud. Students are verbally encouraged when they choose the letters in the correct order. Once the word is spelled correctly, an illustration appears that shows the occurring action.
