Fun Easter Games For Kids
By:K. Ryan

With Easter right around the corner, your kids will be excited about coloring eggs. There are egg dying kits in most stores which are inexpensive yet provide you and your children hours of fun.

It's also fun to learn what Easter means through your childrens' eyes.

After coloring the eggs, let your children paint you a story of what Easter and family means to them. Give them a small artist paint brush and let the Easter spirit stir and awaken their inner creativity.

Ask each child to design an egg that shows, in pictures, what Easter is all about to him or her. Have a variety of egg dye colors, stickers, jelly beans or whatever else young minds need to create a holiday masterpiece.

Once each egg is designed, the fun continues.

Give each child a piece of paper and either finger paint or crayons. Tell them to continue their Easter story, expanding on the drawings on their Easter eggs.

Think of the Easter eggs as just the beginning of their tales while the sheet of paper can be the middle and end of the story.

This is one of the fun games for kids which helps foster kids creativity and artistic skills.

If you're using this game as Christian kids games in CCD or Sunday School classes, tell the children to draw what Easter means as a religious holiday to them.

Or if one of your kids has a birthday close to Easter, you can make this into one of the fun indoor party games by using cardboard instead of paper when the kids draw their Easter artwork.

When everyone is done, cut each drawing into different shapes like a jigsaw puzzle, scramble them up and let the kids reassemble their puzzles.

For even more fun, give each child a puzzle that is not his and the first child to put the puzzle back together first wins and gets something like candy or a toy as the prize.

Happy Easter!
