Give out different letters cut in two (in three or in four).

It is a good idea to use different colours for each letter to help the children if the letters should become mixed with each other.

Let the children make up the letter from the pieces.

If necessary write up the letters on the board.

Alphabet Packets:

Make alphabet flashcards.

Take paper or polyethylene packets, label each packet with a letter of the alphabet, hang them on a line (and tie the line to the chairs).

Leave some space in the middle (divide the line into two parts for two teams).

Make two teams and give out flashcards.

The fastestteam is a winner (Don’t choose winners if your kids are very young).
