What chances do I have marrying a Japanese man being a gaijin
By:uk.answers.yahoo.com

Well that's the question really, What do Japanese men in today's society, in mordern Japan think of Gaijin women? I read many scary stories about being a gaijin/gaikokujin.

Reply:

Honestly, it all depends.

I'd totally ignore the comments saying, "Lol, the chances are low." because they're ACTUALLY not THAT low.

People seem to like to throw around the idea that Japanese men don't like foreign women, or that the majority wouldn't even date one. Is that true for some Japanese men? Of course. All of them? LOL, no. And the amount of Japanese men dating gaijin is actually going UP, guys. Not down, UP. Because Japan's becoming more and more open to foreigners. So, guess what? More gaijin-Japanese couples.

Marriage rates in japan, and childbirth rates are going down. This means it's becoming more and more uncommon for people to get married. Not just gaijin-Japanese people getting married, but even Japanese-Japanese.
Of course, the chances of a gaijin marrying a Japanese are slightly lower than the chances of a Japanese marrying a Japanese, so when the chances go down for marriages in Japan, your chances go down even a bit more.

But, it's not impossible.
Some of these answerers act like they're never seen a gaijin girl with a Japanese man. You're joking, right? I've seen so many I couldn't count them. It's getting more common, quickly.

I guess some of you guys don't know much about today's teenage generation in Japan, but being a teenager living in Japan, I can tell you Japanese-gaijin relationships are becoming more common among the young generation. Don't be ignorant.

Anyway;
If you were to live in Japan, trust me, there'd be a man here for you somewhere. Just a matter of finding him. If you're a pretty gaijin girl, you should have no problem finding a nice looking Japanese boy. Now, whether you two get married or not is down to you guys, not us.

Half Japanese/ living in Japan. I know of quite a few gaijin-girl, Japanese-boy couples. Also, it's not my father who's a gaijin, but my mother. So my parents are also an example.
My friends and I talk about this often.
I see it everyday.
